It follows Jesus
It acts on what it has learned
It follows only the truth

It has a brand new look

It “Puts off” the old man
The “old man” is our old nature
The “old man” is our old way of life

It “Puts on” the new man!
Spiritually - It begins in the mind
The “new man” is our new nature
It can be recognized by right living & holiness

Take off lying & put on the truth – 25
Take off anger & put on peace – 26-27
Stop stealing & start giving 28
Take off slander & put on encouragement 29
Stop grieving & begin to live holy 30
Set aside bitterness & put on kindness 31-32

Every Christian has been given grace!

Saving Grace
- God’s free gift of salvation
Sustaining Grace
- God’s free gift that will see us through
Serving Grace
- God’s free gift to help us through

Service is Based on Grace
God gave the church gifted men

Foundational
Apostles – “Sent One”
One of the 12 – Acts 1:21-22
Prophets – Foretellers / Forth tellers

Structural
Evangelists – One who tells the good news
Pastors – “Shepherd” of the flock
Teachers – “Teacher”

Leadership is for the purpose of maturity

God gave the church gifted men
The Pastor is to equip the Saints
The Saints are to do the work of the ministry
The Ministry is meant to build up the body

Maturity is marked by
Unity of the faith
Knowledge of the son of God
Measuring up to the full stature of Christ

Immaturity is measured by
Childish indecision on truth
Easily tricked by cunning men

Maturity can be measured by growth
Our speech – Truth / Love
Our Goal – In all things like Jesus

Maturity can be measured by what it produces
When every part does its work
When the body is building itself up
